YOU ARE NOT WHAT’S HAPPENED TO YOU
Therapy for trauma in New Mexico
Are you living in a time capsule of your worst memories, where words aren’t enough to express what you’ve been through?
The negative experiences and stressors of life could be impacting you in more ways than you recognize– safety, trust, power, control, esteem, and intimacy can be altered when we experience something traumatic.
Trauma is a psychological response to an intense event that threatens or causes harm. It is often the result of an overwhelming amount of stress that exceeds a person's ability to cope with or accept various factors involved with the experience.
Trauma can feel like living in a time capsule of your worst memories, where your surroundings change but your memories consume your daily life.
Together, we can help you overcome your past and take back control of your narrative.
You’re ready to release the pain of old memories.
HOW THERAPY WORKS
You have the capacity to heal from the past.
Trauma therapy is a process that focuses on healing the wounds caused by traumatic experiences. It involves creating a safe and supportive environment where you can share your story and work through the emotions and memories associated with your trauma. I use evidence-based techniques to help you process your trauma in a safe and controlled way.
My approach to trauma therapy is rooted in compassion and patience. I understand that healing from trauma is not a linear process and that everyone's journey is unique. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where you can share your experiences and work through the emotional and psychological impact of your past. I will work with you at your own pace, offering guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
Trauma therapy is not just about healing past wounds but also about helping you cultivate a greater sense of empowerment and growth. As you progress through therapy, you'll learn new coping skills and strategies that can help you navigate life's challenges with greater resilience and self-awareness so you can gain better control of your life. You will begin to see yourself as a survivor, not a victim, and you will feel empowered to take charge of your healing journey.
If you're ready to take the first step toward healing from trauma, I’m here to help. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and will work to build a trusting and collaborative partnership with you as we navigate your healing together.
